Jacqueline Larson, age 80, passed away Monday, June 11, 2012 at the home of her daughter in Kingston, following a period of declining health. The former Jacqueline Patterson was born May 27, 1932 in Bad Axe, the daughter of the late John and Olga (Kolberg) Patterson. Jackie was a graduate of Fairgrove High School and then went on to County Normal and became a county school teacher. She was united in marriage with Bernard Larson on January 17, 1953 in Fairgrove. He preceded her in death on July 19, 1998. She began her career as a school teacher in South Dakota. The family returned to Michigan where she performed a variety of clerical and administrative endeavors; first with Clark Canning Company, and then Board Secretary and Personnel Administrator for the Tuscola County Board of Commissioners, until her retirement after twenty-three years. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Wilmot. Her passion and talent was sewing, and she enjoyed flower gardens and canning.
Jackie is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Beccy & Tim Lloyd of Kingston, Donna & Bill Fraczek of Caro, Helen Larson of Cass City, Karri Larson and friend, Mike Hinojosa of Key West, Florida; nine grandchildren and eleven great- grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Linda Patterson of Fayetteville, Georgia; a cousin and close "friend", Marilyn Collon of Caro; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Norma & Burton Fields and Eileen & Addison Ingles and one brother, Ernest Patterson.
A Funeral Liturgy will be held at St. Michael Catholic Church in Wilmot on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Andrzej and Sr. Riccardina Silvestri officiating. Rite of Committal will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Caro.
