Rosa M. Piske, age 74, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Covenant Health Care – Cooper in Saginaw. She was born January 26, 1937 in Mitchell, Indiana and was raised by her mother, the late Helen (Henderson) Hall. Rosa was a 1955 graduate of Vassar High School. She was united in marriage with James Piske on October 19, 1957 at the Vassar United Methodist Church. Rosa was a member of the Watrousville United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school and was president of United Methodist Women's Society. Rosa was very creative and enjoyed crafts, sewing, and making things for others.
Rosa is survived by her husband, James Piske of Fairgrove; four children and their spouses, Keith & Kristy Piske of Westland, Dean & April Piske of Reese, Darlene & Durk Brown of Carlile, Wyoming, Dale & Julie Piske of Waterford; four grandsons, Aaron Fent, Tyler Piske, Daniel Brown and Dylan Brown. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Nancy Fent on July 17, 2001; two brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Pastor Daniel Gonder officiating. Burial will follow at North Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Watrousville United Methodist Church Building Fund.
